The Netherlands

In 2022, I graduated as a performer and visual artist from the Institute of Performing Arts, Maastricht, the Netherlands. During my studies, I started to replace the stage with other landscapes and myself with objects and elements. From a theatrical background I move towards other media, such as film, video, photography, animation, installation and food. Everything I show is born out of situations or landscapes I put myself in. I stay close to nature and natural objects or elements. Stones, trees and waterfalls are important. I work intuitively and with soft hands. I want to be overwhelming and sincere, but in the most subtle way. Rituals are an important part of my artistic practice and daily life. The process is as important as the outcome, if not more. My focus is often on the complex, the human (/feminine), the poetic, the unknown and the mystery, and always originates from the question (but also the discomfort of) why things are the way they are.
